“ Came here for dinner and the food was very good. The French fries are crispy and delicious. The pasta was rich and extremely tasty. The dining experience was odd. The waiters are very gung-ho to clear the table and remove any glassware. It's odd and makes the dinner feel very rushed. ”
“ We spent the entire warm and sunny December morning with our twins (age 4) in Central Park. Other more "family" restaurants too crowded, so we decided we'd try a French brunch at the Consulate, which I adore. They understood they had to be on very good behavior! The pineapple juice was a hit. The gigantic pancakes with berries and whip cream were a homerun. Husband devoured the hangover burger (he wasn't!) and I enjoyed the amazing Croque Monsieur with fabulous salad. Their fries are so crispy and divine. Although the Consulate doesn't even have a children's menu, the host and servers were so kind and attentive to our granddaughters. We arrived with scooters, and the host tucked them away. We sat in their enclosed outer area and the twins felt grown up. Food was bountiful and perfect. The twins loved the Christmas tree and even the pretty wallpaper in the bathroom! A wonderful Christmas season memory for all now. Merci to the superb staff at The Consulate! ”
